Improving on rendering technique, requires some effort to have the correct tools- the right colour paints, brushes, rag and a CLEAN mixing palette. Makes sure that your paint mixture has enough water mixed in and isn't bone dry. "NEVER USE PAINT DIRECTLY FROM THE TUBE!!!"

When working with colour pencils start from the dark areas / dark colours and work into the highlights / lighter tones.

Creating Form using colour can be done with all types of colour media, colour pencils, paint or even marker pens. See some of the samples below for the difference in intensity of colour between using colour pencils and paint.

In class we discussed the use of Complementary & Analogous Colour sets to create Form / 3-D modelling rendering.
For those of your who did not take this down the sets are:

For the up-coming class on Photoshop, you need to scan in the following pieces of work:

1. Your name in 2 point perspective

2. Your pencil drawing

3. Your pen drawing

4. All the development sketches

5. The 9x9cm square of your favourite thing + your developments

Sec 3 E-learning Week5

When you are given the white cotton, go home and wash it , dry it and iron it. When you get back to school you will mount it on a wooden frame and trace your pattern on the cloth.


Once this is done, you are ready to start waxing. Begin always with a frame so that the colour doesn't escape.
